TM Streamyx Combo RM60/month give 2MB/s??

Recently, my father applied Streamyx (Malaysian ISP) combo pack for RM60/month (he said). For a quite moment, i felt very happy because at last my family's house have an internet connection. Soon after that i start to set the PPP settings and bla bla bla so that it's not required to dial everytime to use the net.

The interesting part is that i discovered this :



This is a screenshot of the Router settings i've open. It is 2043 kbps or 2MB/s and 512 kbps for download and upload!! It is supposed to be 368kbps download and 128kbps upload (if i'm not mistaken). Why is this happening? Is it that TM Streamyx does some sort of give a ways angpow for this coming Chinese New Years? lol. Okay... for the second time, i felt quite happy because of this suprising news.

Soon after that, i start to think whether it is true or not of the streamyx speed. I opened speedtest.net to calculate my internet connection speed. And this is the result..

Show winamp now playing status in Yahoo Messenger (updated)

On previous post , i wrote a post on showing now playing song in winamp. Sadly the company now closing their website. But luckily this sunday morning, i found a way of showing now playing song on YM(yahoo messenger) , and i think it is even better than the previous one (Y!Amp).

It requires a plugin that have to be install in your computer. It works for YM 9,8, and also 7. I haven't tested it yet in YM 7. Just assuming it was right from this website. So, this how it works.

Just download the plugin below. Then install. Done! You can configure the plugin in winamp > option > preference > plugin > general purpose
